Operation
The drying column is formed by a loading hopper and a number of modules with internal conical ducts immersed
in the cereal, which descends by gravitational force, with mixed and crossing current movement.
The cereal is hit by a counter current of hot air in the upper part and a flow of environment air in the
lower part (cooling), which then exits, part in the atmosphere and part recycled.
The quantity of cereal exiting is pre-determined and regulated by a pneumatic extractor.
Then the product is collected in an unloading hopper.

Hot air generators
There are heating groups for drying:
- direct fire
- indirect fire
- diathermic oil or steam batteries
Fuels used are:
- methane gas
- GPL
- gas oil
- dense oil or by-products
Types of burners are:
- pressurised
- air vein
- special burners for various types of fuel
Electrical cabinet
The dryer has electronic equipment with PLC management.
Electromechanical equipment upon request.

Fans
For drying, with maximum attention to details, the depression system is the most suitable because
of dust containment. Every dryer is equipped with a fan or fans, fixed or variable blade axial type,
having various diameters to fully exploit the machine yield with less consumption.
Zanin F.lli makes use of technologically advanced marks in the European fan sector to optimise the
characteristics of their products.
Air ducts (Version 1)
The panels that form the hot air and saturated air chambers are built of:
sandwich panels in mineral wool for the hot air part;
sandwich panels in polyurethane for the saturated air part (avoids condensation and mulch inside the chamber).
The walls are smooth both inside and outside.
Versions are: Aluzinc - Galvanised - Painted in various colours - Aluminium - Stainless steel 304.
The inside of the dryer is built to accept reinforcing standards and galleries with a rung ladder for checking and maintenance.
Air ducts (Version 2)
The panels that form the hot air and saturated air chambers are built of
smooth pressed Aluzinc sheet metal, insulated in the saturated air part.
